A teacher who posted photos of her private Instagram account with the caption “I can’t believe I’m being fired” was fired from a private school in Davis, according to the Davis School District.

In a statement provided to the Sacramento Bee, the district said Thomas is not a school resource officer.

The district says that when she posted her photos on Instagram, the school sent a text message to her informing her that she was fired.

Thomas was initially charged with posting an inappropriate image and violating the school’s Facebook policy, according the district.

Thomas’ lawyer says he plans to appeal her termination.
